Steve Hanusa is a clinician, manager, consultant, and trainer with over thirty years experience in addiction and psychiatric treatment. He has worked in corrections, hospit- als, employee assistance and community settings. His current position is Clinical Director of The Camp Recovery Center in Scotts Valley, CA. Formerly, he was Clinical Director of Walden House Therapeutic Community at Corcoran State Prison Substance Abuse Facility, a 739-bed program located in California’s Central Valley.
Prior to relocating to Cal- ifornia, he was the Clinical Director for the Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency Programs in the North Car- olina Department of Correction. His responsibilities as Clinical Director included clinical direction, program evaluation, program development, quality assurance, training, and consultation to twenty programs serving 10,000 offenders annually.

Hanusa holds a B.A. from Wartburg College in English and M.S.S.W. from University of Tennessee.

He has presented over 200 seminars and keynotes on such topics as: Team Building, Therapeutic Community Principles and Tools, Chemical Dependency Assessment, Group Therapy for Alcoholics and Addicts, Treatment Planning, Dual Diagnosis, and Cross Training (Addictions) for Criminal Justice.
